Very large and fine copper tumi form northern Peru, Chimu culture, ca 1000 to 1300 AD. Ceremonial in nature with typical crescent shaped "blade" and slightly flared handle, with remains of textiles adhering from its almost 1000 years of burial. 8-3/4"H, intact/generally excellent condition.
