Published piece! From ancient Peru, coastal Huari / Wari, Huara style, ca. 700 - 800 A.D. Terracotta with black, white and purple on orangeware. Standing figure in the form of a feliene. Forearms and legs are painted purple, and barred and dotted with white to resemble fur. The chest ha a purple and white branched symbol. 5-3/4"H x 4-3/8"W, cleaned of sale deposits, intact/excellent.
