Adorable! From northern Peru, Chancay culture, ca 800 to 1200 AD. Matched pair of pottery llamas, both having ovoid bodies, perked ears, upturned tails and open mouths; standing on four short legs. Cream slip ground with painted red-brown spots, with small, circular opening in centers of backs. Both 9"L, each with scattered surface mineral deposits. Leg of one llama reattached and some normal paint loss, otherwise both intact and quite nice. Category:Chancay Material:Pottery Dimensions:9"L Condition:Repaired
