Rare depiction! From ancient Peru, Chancay culture, ca. 1300 A.D. Large pottery vessel depicting a deer having a funnel spout in the center of his back, perked ears and curved spike antlers. Cream painted ground with brown highlights to the head and face. 14-1/2"L x 8"H, right front leg, horns, ears and spout reattached, small 1†probe hole filled on the right side, otherwise intact.
