One of the most sought-after ancient silver vessels of the Peruvian cultures! From the Chimu culture of northern Peru, dating between 1000 and 1300 A.D., this vessel is a sheet silver, hammer-molded cup depicting a stylized human head, having a stepped headdress and bold facial features. Strong surface deposits, blackish patina and areas of ancient cloth still adhering to surface. 7-1/8"H, intact/excellent condition, save one tiny hole on nose. Looks fabulous as it is, but if you prefer a shiny finish, some polishing would certainly highlight the solid silver content! Category:Peruvian Material:Silver Dimensions:7-1/8"T Condition:Intact
