Delightful ancient Roman marble statuette of Venus and Eros, ca. 1st to 2nd century AD. Carved from a single piece of marble depicting Venus, the Roman Goddess of Beauty standing beside Eros, our modern day Cupid and god of Love. Her head missing since antiquity, Venus stands nude above waist, holding her Chiton against her mid-section. Standing on integral plynth.
