Rare form! From ancient Rome, ca. 1st - 2nd Century A.D. Solid bronze mirror composed of two disks hinged together; interior of each plated with traces of silver for reflection; exterior of each with series of concentric lathe-turned rings; each disk with an arching handle looped on each end through a catch-plate in the form of a mask.
