A rare Roman intaglio in three layers of gemstone, dating to 1st.-3rd. cent. AD.
The intaglio is 18 mm. long and weighs some 5,6 grams. It's 5-6 mm. high.
The seal is carved in a fantastic 3-layered stone, orange-red carnelian, a thin white layer, possible quartz, and in the bottom a thick layer of what looks like rose-quartz!
