Our vast inventory of ancient art includes one of the finest and most comprehensive ancient glass collections ever assembled; it includes nearly every variety of pre-Roman, Roman, and Eastern Mediterranean ancient glass. If you have any specific inquiries, please let us know.

Culture: Roman.

Date: 3rd - 4th Century A.D.

Material: Green glass.

Condition: Intact, superb, with excessive iridescence.

Provenance: Ex: American private collection, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Measurements: 4.6 inches high (11.7 cms).

A Cylindrical beaker with a circular pad base, wheel-cut grooves and a fine glass trail wrapped around its center; a fine layer of silvery iridescence on the beaker's interior. Although the shape resembles early Roman beakers, the fabric of this piece is more consistent with a later date, probably 3rd or 4th century A.D.
