Culture: Roman. Date: 2nd Century A.D. Material: Glass. Condition: Intact, with weathering. Provenance: Ex: American private collection. Measurements: 4.2 inches high (10.6 cms). Of pale blue glass. Has a bell-shaped body which rests on a flat disk base. The rim slightly flares off, there are thin wheel-cut lines encircle the beaker just below the rim and about half the body, thicker grooves are cut between the thin ones. In very good condition. Cf: Corning 1997, no. 386, pp. 227-228; Hermitage collection, no. 299, pp. 313-315, ROM, no. 136, pp. 56-57.
