Culture: Holy Land. Date: 4th - 5th Century A.D. Material: Glass. Condirion: Intact, with pleasing weatrhering and rich iridescence. Provenance: Ex: American private collection. Measurements: 3 inches high (7.5 cms), 2.5 inches in diameter at rim (6.5 cms). Of translucent yellow-green glass, this jar has a rounded body that is folded inwards at the shoulder, the wide neck flares out to an un-evenly rounded wide rim, with three applied handles. The bottoma has an applied circular ring. The iridescence is quite pleasing with hues of purplish- bluish throught the vessel.
