Ancient Roman or middle eastern glass infant feeder or alembic. Blue glass. Intact and in good shape. Purchased from a collector who got it from a private estate in DC. Came from a box labeled “Israel 1956” beautiful piece for any collection.
An alembic is part of a still. This would have been used in the distillation of alcohol, oils, or perfume. I’ve also seen these called physicians cupping glasses or infant feeders. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
