Translucent Islamic Glass Bottle - AMD.065, Origin: Central Asia, Circa: 700 AD to 1000 AD, Dimensions: 7.1" , (18.0cm) high, Collection: Islamic, Style: Blown/Tooled/Cut, Medium: Glass, This globular bottle has a long neck that tapers towards the top terminating in a splayed hexagonal opening. The decoration consists of three rows of shallow ovals placed close together at even intervals, creating a honeycomb pattern. Grooves encircle the body just below and above the honeycomb pattern. The surface is weathered resulting in a beautiful pearly white irridescence.
