Islamic Glass Bottle - AM.0144, Origin: Central Asia, Circa: 800 AD to 1100 AD, Dimensions: 5.5" (14.0cm) high, Collection: Islamic Art, Style: Mold Blown/Tooled, Medium: Glass, This slightly lopsided, nearly cylindrical bottle has an angular shoulder and a short narrow neck with a small bulge at the opening. The decoration consists of ridged vertical ribs twisted clockwise outside the mold. The object is intact. The surface is partly weathered, resulting in a pale brown patina giving the object a marbelised appearance.
