Bamiyan Splashed Sgraffiato Dish - LO.661, Origin: Central Asia, Circa: 12 th Century AD to 13 th Century AD, Dimensions: 3" (7.6cm) high x 7" (17.8cm) wide, Collection: Islamic Art, Style: Bamiyan, Medium: Buff Earthenware. Sgraffiato ware with large cavetto and small everted rim. The inside decoration incised and painted in manganese and green. A large flower radiating from the centre covers almost all the surface, whilst brown and green vertical lines descend from the rim to fill the space between.
