Bamiyan Splashed Sgraffiato Bowl - LO.870, Origin: Central Asia, Circa: 1100 AD to 1200 AD, Dimensions: 4" (10.2cm) high x 6.75" (17.1cm) wide, Collection: Islamic Art, Style: Bamiyan, Medium: Buff Earthenware. Splashed sgraffiato ware,the body of buff earthenware with low rounded cavetto, tall walls and an everted sloping rim, resting on a foot- ring. The inside surface incised with simple foliate design, ornamented by scrollwork. Manganese and green splashes applied in big dots over defined areas.
