Bamiyan Splashed Sgraffiato Bowl - LO.868, Origin: Central Asia, Circa: 1100 AD to 1200 AD, Dimensions: 3.5" (8.9cm) high x 7" (17.8cm) wide, Collection: Islamic Art, Style: Bamiyan, Medium: Buff Earthenware. Splashed sgraffiato ware,the body of buff earthenware with low rounded cavetto, straight slightly sloping walls, resting on a foot-ring. The inside surface incised with simple foliate design, and scaly patterns. The rim painted with two continuous alternated wavy lines. Manganese and green colours applied over reserved areas.
