This magnificent coin is set in an 18-Karat gold pendant and strung in a necklace with genuine emerald beads with a 14-Karat gold clasp. At the court of ancient Byzantium, the nobility adorned themselves with are emeralds set in gleaming gold. On the famous mosaics of Ravenna, Justinian and his consort Theodora are shown wearing these gems among the crown jewels. Time has not diminished the way the radiance of one enhances the rich, cool depths of the other. A necklace of exquisite delicacy, fit for the neck of an empress. - (FJ.2130)
