A superb and unusually large Greek bronze bowl, dating to the late Greek period of Western Asia, 4th.-2nd. cent. BC.
A low bronze bowl of a hemispheric design, measuring nearly 20 cm. across and c.6 cm. high. Very elegant and well designed bowl, possibly made as a personal food-bowl or plate in antiquity. The dimentions would have made the bowl quite expensive 2000+ years ago where metals were in much shorter demand than today.
Condition: Superb!. Wonderful dark greek patina and fine metal. One of the best condition bronzes that we have!
