Early pottery Lekythos (vessel for holding oils) from Athens, ca 540 BC. Decorated in black-figure technique, showing warrior in full battle gear - Corinthian helmet, greaves, spear and shield - with attendants to the front and rear, with two additional attendants above looking down upon our warrior. 7"H, in excellent condition with a couple old repairs.
