************
Typical of the terracotta figures produced in the Boeotia region this example was produced with a molded front and an unmolded back. Although extremely similar to the “Tanagra” figurines of the late fourth century onwards certain features such as the inclusion of the accessories in the mold rather than being applied separately, the unmolded back and the style of the plinth suggest that this is a transitional piece which employs many of the traditional features of fifth century terracotta figures.
