Extremely rare Egyptian bronze plaque, dating to the 2nd. millennium BC
The scene is a Priest making offers at the temple of Anubis. The priest is seated in front of an alter of a frog, flanked by two jackals. He is seated with gifts of offering, and around him a symmetrical arrangement of amphoras and plates with food. A highly interesting and extremely rare bronze figural plaque!
Size: 90 mm. long and 40 mm. high.
Condition: Nice! Intact with some corrosion and chips to the ears of the jackals.
Provenance: Victoria Lindström Antik in Stockholm bought c. 1950 to a private Swedish Collection
