From ancient Egypt, ca. 26th Dynasty, ca. 700 BC. Light blue faience shabti, of slender form with cross arms, crook and flail, well detailed bearded face and hieroglyphic front panel identifying its owner as a man named Amun (the attribution for the Ushabti was made by The British Museum). 4-3/8", intact/excellent condition, save minor surface pitting and encrustation, as shown.
