Cute pottery figure from ancient Mexico, Veracruz culture, Classic Period, ca. 450 to 650 AD. Depicting a seated shaman looking as if in a trance, eyes closed, mouth open, legs folded with hands to his knees; headdress adorning his head; black bitumen decorating both cheeks and part of neck front. 5"H, minor chipping to headdress and surface encrustation, else very good.
