Pre-Columbian Stone Figure, from ancient Costa Rica, Diquis region, ca. 1000 - 1550 A.D. Standing figure with feet forming a peg base, arms held stiffly at the side, the jaguar head with teeth bared, large oval eyes and small ears, in tan-gray stone. Diquis stone sculptures are noted for the abstract, geometric style. Custom stand. 8-1/2"H, broken/repaired at neck, else very good.
