Very rare antique Pre-Columbian Aztec (?) ceramic stamp seal ca 1000-1500 AD of square form with an incised design of a curling snake.
CONDITION: Showing its age and usage, with dark patina, damage chipped borders.
MEASUREMENTS: Height: 4.2 cm x 4.1 cm (1 5/8 in x 1 5/8 in).
REFERENCES: There are examples of similar Pre-Columbian ceramic stamp seals in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum attributed by the museum experts to the Aztec Culture and dated 1000-1500.A.D.
