Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, ca. 0 to 200 AD. Burnished pottery vessel in the form of an armadillo; with large shelled exterior, small head emerging beneath the protective armor; other side with very wide opening. Extremely rare and one of only a few of this form we have ever seen. 11-2/4"L x 5-1/2"W x 5-3/4"H, intact.
