Xi'an Terra Cotta Officer Statue - For Sale

Xi'an Terra Cotta Officer Statue
Price: $1895.00
Life-sized replica of one of the terra cotta generals found in the funeral pits in Xi'an, China. Each figure in the pits has a unique face and was crafted and buried to protect the tomb of the emperor, Qin Shi Huang the First Emperor of China, almost 2,000 years ago. Current estimates are that in the three pits containing the Terracotta Army there were over 8,000 soldiers, 100 chariots with 400 horses and 300 cavalry horses, the majority of which are still buried in the pits. The head is removable from the body, just like the original soldier statues in Xi'an.

This came in a crate from China, and has been on display at a local restaurant. This may be a genuine statue, but due to having no certification, we have it priced below market value for a replica. There is dirt caked on the inside and outside of the statue, which would hint towards it being buried at one point. Other sites are selling the same statue for $3500.
