Dark Blue Glass Ewer - BB.1107, Origin: Central Asia, Circa: 700 AD to 900 AD, Dimensions: 5.3" (13.5cm) high, Collection: Islamic Art, Style: Free Blown/Tooled/Applied, Medium: Glass, This translucent blue, pear-shaped ewer has a funneled neck ending in a heart-shaped opening and a spout pointing upwards. The decoration consists of a traill below the neck of the ewer. An L-shaped handle with a small thumb rest is attached at the opening opposite the spout at the neck.
