Old brass figural candle snuffer, made in Italy, petite with winged harpy figure on the end. Harpies were mythical winged creatures with the head and body of a woman and the tail, wings and talons of a bird. They were known to carry off the food of their victims and the souls of the dead. This unusual little snuffer is 6" long.
