Antique European ivory carving in shape of a ball carved in the interior depicting 2 separate scenes but in continuous fashion. The left half features a seated king and queen with a standing courtier behind. According to the vestiments and chair style, it represents the French Royal Court with possible Louis XV or Louis XVI. On the right hemisphere, it is featured a group of 3 Ottoman emissaries offering gifts to the king. There is a signature below the central Turkish emissary foot, appears as Fye. Probably this ivory carving dates to 18th. century and is very rare. Diameter: 2.4" (6 cm.). Height: 2.4' (6 cm.).
