Haunting 1920's bust of Beatrice, Dante's love interest way back when. She was his inspiration in many of his famous writings even though they both went on to marry others. Measures 18" high x 20" wide x 10" deep, This bust is awesome, large and heavy, appears to be composition and gesso and has two labels, most likely Italian. Painted in beautiful old golds and fleur-di-lys. She was previously owned by Charles Gerhardt, famous conductor and record producer. She was purchased at his estate sale in 1999.
