circa: 2000 width: 38 height: 61 length: 21 This exquisite burl elm chest on chest is the product of a full restoration of two RAF chests dating back to just after the Second World War, most likely about 1970. This chest on chest has been re-made with stunning burl elm veneers and intricate satinwood inlays. Crafted using a traditional two-over-three drawer design-totaling to ten drawers-each drawer boasts brass swan neck handles and dovetailed joints, just like those found in antique furniture. The great advantage of the chest on chest is that it makes use of a great deal of height (in this case, six feet), so it provides plenty of storage without taking up very much lateral space. Resting on sturdy shaped bracket feet, these chest on chests are strong, beautiful and will continue to grow more beautiful for generations to come!
