The high quality of this English blanket box is apparent upon first sight, as the color and grain of the burl walnut are simply breathtaking. Hand-distressed surfaces accent this natural beauty quite nicely, as do the contrasting solid brass handles and decorative escutcheon. The top lifts and supports itself to reveal the spacious interior, with a little under eight cubic feet of room. There is no lock or key, as the escutcheon is purely aesthetic. This piece can be used as a coffee table and/or for storage and even at the foot of a bed. As functional as it is beautiful, this antique style blanket box should make an excellent addition to any home furniture collection!
