Antique Zulu necklace, made in little coloured glass beads on hand worked twine made from either grass or stripped reeds - very small and tightly worked material. Brass military style button closure. The blue beads are a double row, side by side which gives an almost frill effect to the necklace. Total length is 41 cm. Depth is 1.5 cm. Made in a curve. Excellent original condition. Dates from the Boer War period of around 1899 to 1902.
