A pair of Indian puppet heads featuring handpainted detailing on carved wood faces. The heads rest on wood necks which in turn are tucked into solid black wood cubes.
India C. 1900, Some cracks. Nose is chipped on one figurine. Surface cracks and fading of paint consistent with age.
