In the Colonial India period, this wedding coat was worn by the Lohana merchant cast of Thalo Bula Khan, Sind, in what is modern day Pakistan. The influence of the neighboring Kush in Gujarat is apparent in the use of mirrors and by the embrodery style. The garment shows wear from age and use with slight fading. It is in good overall condition with no apparent damage. The body measures 22"x36".
