Very old American photograph, dating to mid 19th century. Done on metal which looks like copper, but might be what is called tin type. Measures nearly 3 3/4 X 2 1/2 inches. Photo shows two women dressed in mid 19th century clothes. Elaborate hair styles and hat, chain for fob watch/chateline. Richly decorated chest and furnishing can be made out in the background.
