Copper mounted on a block of wood, I think this is a letterpress negative. The image appears to be (in negative) a woman dressed in an elaborate hat, with what are possibly flowers mounted on it. She wears a boa - either a feather or fur stole. Her dress appears to be Victorian or Edwardian - hard to tell. Block measures 15.5 cm by 5 cm by 1 cm and 2.3 cm thick (6.1/8 inches by 2 inches by about 1 inch). A few scratches on the bottom part of image, needs a good clean. Interesting subject.
