We have for sale a Taxidermy by Frank Schwarz. The merganser in flight is framed and mounted under bubble plexiglass. It has a painted scene behind it. It has an old gild black frame. I do not know the exact age, but it is in good condition. We believe this was done by the famous Frank Schwarz. He founded the Schwarz Studios in 1882. He was a German Immigrant and the Schwarg Studios was passed through 4 generations to become the oldest taxidermy operation in the United States. His clients included President Teddy Roosevelt, heads of other countries, L. Ross Fur Co., Adolphus Busch, Simmon's Hardware and special clients such as the board of education and the St. Louis Zoo. The Studio still operates at 1809 LaFayette Ave. in St.Louis by Paul Schwarz. This is a great item. It weighs 21 pounds and measures 28.5 x 36.875 x 10.5.We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. And if you have any questions please contact us by email or telephone before you purchase the item. Please view our Terms of Sale and Shipping policy. We only ship to the continental U.S. We do have a retail store and there are times the item may be sold through our store. We try to remove items immediately or the next day at the latest.
