Very pretty little card case, embossed brass with an applied lion's head and flower heads each with a central turquoise glass bead. Even the underneath is decorated with acanthus scrolls. Too small for modern business cards, it is gilded inside and could be used as a pill box or similar. It measures 7.8 cm by 5.1 cm and 1.8 cm thick including the decoration (3 inches by 2 inches and 3/4 inch). Very good condition. Circa 1920s.
