SOLD Antique 19th century well marked German-Saxony Model 1845.Type1.infantry sword (Infanterie – Faschinen - messer) with massive single-edged falchion style steel blade, stamped on the obverse ricasso with crown Royal Cypher JR for the, King John of Saxony 1854-1873 and on the reverse the makers logo of P.D.L.(Peter D .Luneschloss of Solingen). Cast solid brass hilt with reversed quillons, grooved grip, and dove-tail pommel with exposed capstan hilt, stamped with the Regimental Marking 12.A.F.1.114.and the Royal Cypher on the finial and the letter B with the sunburst on the reverse pommel adorned with crown Royal Cypher.
