These cards were used as identification cards in WWII, issued in 1941 by the Air Ministry, England. They are similar in idea to Jane's Book of Ships. This is an incomplete pack, there only being 50 cards instead of about 54. Silhouettes of single-engined aircraft have red-backed cards, multi-engined aircraft (single rudder) have blue backs, multi-engined aircraft (twin rudders) have orange backs, and misc. aircraft have green backs. They are all the same size as playing cards. There is no aircraft name on the cards. Good vintage condition, some dirt.
