The first engraving is titled, "The Veterans of The Army Of The Mississippi On their Way Up The Ohio.--Sketched by Mr. H. Mosler." It shows the deck of a steamer, flying the American flag, loaded with soldiers. Other loaded steamers can be seen in the distance. The second engraving is titled, "Shelbyville, The Only Union Town of Tennessee.--Sketched by Mr. H. R. Hubner, Third Ohio Volunteers." It shows an army camp across the river from the town.
