Brass Traveling Inkwell. Brass and brown. Brass and pottery. This penner or traveling inkwell has room in its top for a quill or folding pen. It has its original brown glazed pottery ink and cork in the base. The ink is held in place with wooden pegs. The outside of the oval inkwell is etched and ribbed in concentric bands. The bottom is engraved with the initials "E. M. N." and stamped "MYCOCK." English, circa late 18th century.
