Description: This is one of the finest telescopes to be offered on the public market in recent years.
3.5" floor standing tripod telescope made by A. Bardou Paris circa 1880. The telescope has a barrel which measures 56" in length which is mounted on a turned brass mount that is attached to the top of the supporting tripod. The mount is adjustable for the viewers height. The tripod has three stretchers which support a mahogany circular platform which supports the adjustment crank mechanism. The telescope is in excellent working order and ratains its original Mahogany carrying case. There are a few old break repairs to the legs and a crack in the carrying case for the barrel.
