American Torpedo-Shells from Harper's Weekly. Black; cream. Paper. This shows two original engravings titled, "Experiments With American Torpedo-Shells At Chatham, England--Explosion Of A 440-Pounder and Experiments With American Torpedo-Shells At Chatham, England--Blowing-Up Of The Terpsichore By A 75-Pounder." They show a rowboat of men watching a large waterspout and explosion and the second engraving shows a sinking ship. It is marked, "732, Harpers Weekly, November 18, 1865."
