Incredible American Weather Vane, circa 1870, Rhode Island. The iron is painted in fine old dry paint, just as I found this work in 1972. Medina Ohio. This is an incredible well documented weather vane shown in all the AMERICANA and FOLK ART books by Bishop, etc. Has brought huge prices at auction. See listing archives for SKINNER.
