Gilt enamelled souvenier spoon from St. Petersburg, Russia. Very early.Measures 5 1/4inches long.Heraldic shape to terminal with gilt scrolling edge and enamelled landscape showing the famous statue of Peter the Great, founder of the City with title in Cyrillic script. The beautifully shaped handle is gilded and has foliage at either end. The bowl of the spoon has a gilt border patterned with texture and scrolls containing a view of the city.
