The carving of this super cinnabar lacquer table is in incredibly fine detail, the main motifs being dragons and phoenixes flying in clouds. The condition is excellent and it is Japanese of the Mejii era, circa 1880, measuring approximately 11-1/2 inches high by 21 inches long and 15 inches wide. Central part of top is black lacquer.
